Natrilix is a diuretic prescribed for managing high blood pressure and reducing swelling caused by excess fluid in the body. Your doctor may also recommend it for other conditions. As a thiazide diuretic (water pill), Natrilix works by preventing excessive salt absorption, which can lead to fluid retention. Lozol is used to address fluid retention (edema) in individuals with congestive heart failure, and it is also indicated for treating high blood pressure (hypertension).
Be sure to take Natrilix exactly as your doctor instructed. Do not take it in larger doses or for a longer duration than prescribed. To monitor for any adverse effects, your blood will need to be regularly tested. It is crucial that you attend all scheduled doctor appointments. Blood and urine tests may be necessary if you experience vomiting or dehydration.
If you are receiving treatment for high blood pressure, continue using Natrilix even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often does not present any symptoms.
Store Natrilix at room temperature, away from heat, light, and moisture.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and proceed with your scheduled dose. Do not take extra Natrilix to compensate for the missed dose.
Seek emergency medical help if you suspect an overdose of Natrilix. Symptoms may include nausea, weakness, dizziness, dry mouth, thirst, and muscle pain or weakness.
Discontinue use and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any severe side effects, such as dry mouth, extreme thirst, nausea, vomiting, feelings of weakness, drowsiness, restlessness, light-headedness, irregular heartbeat, or muscle pain/weakness.
Continue taking Natrilix and consult your doctor if you encounter any of the following mild side effects: dizziness, headache, or a mild rash on the skin.
Other side effects not listed here may also arise. Discuss any unusual or particularly bothersome side effects with your doctor.
